Czech Professional tension player, Petra Kvitova will out of tennis for at least six months as she recovers from knife attack.
26-year-old Kvitova underwent surgery was attacked by vicious, which entered into her apartment to rob her in the guise of checking a utility meter. In a response to defence herself she struggled with him in bathroom, which led to a knife being placed against Kvitova’s throat.

“In my attempt to defend myself, I was badly injured on my left hand. I am shaken, but fortunate to be alive. The injury is severe and I will need to see specialists, but if you know anything about me, I am strong and I will fight this.”
After the incident she was admitted to a hospital in Brno, here doctors repaired tendons in all five digits of her left hand as well as nerves. Whole this took 3 hours 45 minute as told by Katie Spellman, Spokeswoman of Kvitova. She added that the surgery went very well, considering the extent of the damage.
The robber was identify by police as a man in his mid-30s Kvitova is a left handed Tennis player and the damage to her left hand could affect her future in tennis.
